Your privacy rights

IC collects information about you and uses it to help you get in touch with employers (companies and/or recruiters), candidates (students) or other members of the IC website, as well as to provide you with other services. This policy describes how your information is collected and used, and your choices regarding this data.

Fields of application of this policy

This policy applies to information which we collect or use on the site and in the applications held or managed by Internship Community, or its affiliated companies ("IC").

IC is not responsible for how the data is used by advertising networks and other websites, as well as the third parties with whom the company collaborates in order to provide you with customised services, or those who have access to your information on our sites or applications.

The information we collect

We collect information about you through your use of IC services.  These data can be provided directly by you, such as your address, your CV, or the content of your profile.  Some information is also collected automatically. This is, for example, data on how you interact with IC, your demographics or technical data on your computer or mobile device.

We may also collect and use information about you from public access sites, whether or not you have an account with us. You have the option to enforce your rights on such information, to change its visibility settings or request its removal. We cannot, however, guarantee that other information about you will not be collected again from publicly accessible websites.

We may also obtain information through third parties in order to customise and improve your experience with our services.

How we use the information

Information about you allows us to offer you products and services tailored to your needs, as well as operate and improve our sites and applications. Our services include content posting and customised advertising on IC or other websites with which we have trading partnerships. We may also use this information to contact you in relation to updates to the IC website, to make inquiries or to provide you with general or service-related information, particularly important security updates.

The information that you make public on IC or accessible in the private CV database or in your profile may be viewed, used and stored by others around the world. We strive to provide you with a secure environment by limiting access to our database to legitimate users, but we cannot guarantee that unauthorised third parties will not succeed in accessing it. We cannot control how authorised users retain or transfer the information you provide us. That is why we recommend that you do not post sensitive information on IC.

How we share information

Without your permission, we will not share any contact information with third parties who could then offer you their products and services.

We share your information with third parties who help us provide you with our own products and services. These third parties are not allowed to use your information for other purposes.

If you agree, we can share data with third parties. For example, we can use this information to present you with other products or services provided by IC or its affiliates. Again with your permission, we can also disclose your information to third parties who can offer you their products and services. You can change your preferences in this regard by changing your NOTIFICATION SETTINGS. We may need to disclose the information collected on other websites to third parties.

We also share the information if required by law.

It is possible for us to transmit this information to a third party who acquires all or part of the IC activities.

How we store the information

The storage of your data is intended to facilitate and enhance your activity on the IC website. You can view, check, correct, update or remove your CV or profile at any time by  logging into your account.

When you remove your personal data, we keep log files and non-personal information regarding your activity on the IC website. We also keep an archive copy of this data, which neither you nor any third party can access on the Internet. If other people have had prior access to your personal data through IC, we are not able to remove such information from their systems.
